Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you read generator-mail.com (“Gener Mail”, “we”), why it is collected, how long it is kept and the choices you have. Gener Mail is a reading site: there are no accounts, no comment forms and no inboxes for visitors.
Information our server records
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard access logs: the page requested, the date and time, the browser’s user-agent string, the referring page and your IP address. We use these logs only to keep the site running, investigate faults and protect it against abuse such as automated scraping or attacks. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically after a limited period and are not used to build profiles of readers.
Cookies we set ourselves
We set a single cookie of our own: it remembers your answer to the cookie question, so the banner does not reappear on every page. It contains no identifier and expires after about six months. The site works without it; you will simply be asked again.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which guides are read, how readers find them and where pages break. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives details of your visit, including your IP address, which it processes under Google’s Privacy Policy. We have enabled IP anonymisation, we do not send Google any information that identifies you by name or email, and analytics data is kept only for the retention period set in our account.
Advertising
Gener Mail is funded by ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a reader’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
Ads may still appear if you opt out, but they will be based on the page you are reading rather than on your browsing history.
Your cookie choices
- Where the law requires consent (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and Ukraine), and whenever we cannot tell where you are reading from, analytics and personalised advertising stay off until you choose Accept all. Until then, Google may only use cookieless measurement and non-personalised ads.
- Elsewhere, analytics and advertising cookies are enabled by default.
- Everywhere, you can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Choosing Essential only switches analytics and personalised ads off for future page views.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our guide on clearing cookies for one website shows how.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not ask for your name, email address or any account details to read the site.
- We do not operate email inboxes for visitors and do not store messages on your behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. Because we do not run accounts, the only personal data we may hold are server log entries, which are deleted automatically. For data processed by Google, use the tools linked above.
Children
Gener Mail is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
